Fundación Letras Itinerantes - Community Education and Libraries

Fundación Letras Itinerantes is a non-profit foundation dedicated to transforming society through reading, writing, and book culture. Founded in September 2017, the organization has spent five years serving vulnerable communities across Quintana Roo and Yucatán. Their mission focuses on generating a culture of reading, strengthening cultural identity through the arts, and promoting human development.

The foundation operates by delivering books, running art workshops, providing educational support, and establishing community libraries. These libraries serve as the core of their programs, helping children and adolescents live more dignified lives. Their work explicitly prioritizes preserving Mayan language and traditions while fostering inclusion from a gender perspective.
