Luis Antonio - Cyanotype Printing Workshop

Luis Antonio is a painter, illustrator, and printmaker who leads an exclusive Airbnb Original workshop on cyanotype printing in Tulum. Having moved to the region in 2016, Luis combines his global exhibition experience with local knowledge to guide participants through the historic blue-printing process. The session begins at his gallery in Bacab, where guests learn the techniques before gathering natural materials like feathers, flowers, and beach pebbles from the surrounding garden or their own trips.

Participants arrange these items on handmade Veracruz paper, coat them with a special solution, and expose them to sun or UV light to create unique, rich blue prints. The workshop is designed for beginners with a light activity level, welcoming guests ages 2 and up in groups of up to 10. After rinsing and drying, each guest takes home a personalized souvenir that captures the essence of Tulum's Caribbean beauty.
