NOIZ architekti - Residential Architecture
ConstructionNOIZ architekti is an international architecture firm that designed Villa Tulum, a residential project completed in 2022 near the city of Tulum on the Yucatan Peninsula. The villa integrates with dense local forests and features a raised floor for natural ventilation, concrete beam roofs, and glass sliding walls that blur the boundaries between interior living spaces and the Caribbean garden. Key design elements include a central tower with yoga platforms, a swimming pool, and a large covered terrace designed to withstand high humidity and sun while maintaining indoor comfort.
The project was executed with structural engineering and project management by aZen design and construction, while landscape work was handled by gardener Johny Duran. Photographs were taken by Pol Rodriguez, capturing the interplay of stone load-bearing walls, minimal masonry, and the surrounding vegetation. The design prioritizes climate responsiveness through controlled airflow and shaded outdoor areas.
