Studio Arquitectos - Residential Architecture

Studio Arquitectos is a design firm based in Mexico known for creating residences that harmonize with the natural environment. Their work in Tulum, such as the Amaranto House completed in 2018, emphasizes a human scale and the integration of interior spaces with the surrounding jungle landscape. The studio prioritizes local materials like limestone, polished cement treated with chukum resin, and native woods to reflect the region's character. Led by architects including Eduardo Garcia and Pablo García, the firm focuses on projects that foster social experiences while maintaining a deep connection to nature.

Project Highlights

The Amaranto House serves as a retreat designed for a couple seeking an escape from city life. The design features a wooden lattice facade, open spaces that allow trees to pass through volumes, and distinct levels separating public and private areas. The rooftop includes a culinary space focused on grilling and a lounge area facing west to capture sunsets. This approach demonstrates the firm's commitment to balancing modern living with the essence of the Yucatan peninsula's architecture.
