The Tejido - Dog Adoption and Rescue

The Tejido is a not-for-profit organization based in Tulum dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned dogs that are often deemed unadoptable due to age, trauma, or medical conditions. Since 2021, the sanctuary has successfully adopted nearly 400 dogs to forever homes across Mexico, Canada, the U.S., and Europe while spaying or neutering over 3,000 animals to address population growth. The organization operates without a physical shelter, relying entirely on foster families to transition rescued dogs from the street into loving environments. Their comprehensive mission combines immediate medical care with long-term solutions like education, vaccination programs, and sterilization clinics to create a sustainable model for animal welfare.
