Car Rental UVM - Car Rental

Car Rental UVM operates in Aldea Zama, offering a mix of cars, scooters, and ATVs to visitors in Tulum. The business is known for competitive pricing compared to larger agencies, with several customers noting that their vehicles, while not always the newest, function well for local exploration. Staff members, including Carlos and Jesus, are frequently mentioned for being accommodating and helpful with instructions on how to operate the vehicles.

However, the provider has a significant reputation issue regarding security deposits. Multiple reviews from the past four years allege that the company retains deposits for cars, ATVs, and scooters, often citing bank delays or alleged vehicle damage as reasons for non-refund. While some customers report a smooth experience with deposit returns, a large number of negative reviews describe the deposit process as a "scam" where funds are never returned or take months to resolve. The business has a low overall rating of 2.9 stars based on 56 reviews, reflecting this polarized customer experience.
